someone who knows alot about

a 3rd gen camaro and swaps
I need to pick your brain on AIM or something.
I Miss gbodys already.

What are you looking to swap. I know about BBC swaps in 3rd gens.

Well I have done alot of small block swaps into monte Ect.
The main thing driving me crazy is this torque arm suspension.
I hear about aftermarket kits and all this.
I have a powerglide that I’m trying to drop in with a 350 into a v6 car.
What would I do about a torque arm mount on a powerglide?
Do I need all new mounts or will any of the v6 mounts work?
I’m a total NOOB when it comes to camaros.

You will need an aftermarket rear trans torque arm mount. The factory tranny’s come with holes to mount the torque arm to. Powerglide doesnt have it. But i’ve fairly sure i’ve seen kits for this maybe B&M, Global west, or someone…

aim speedped, his aim is speedped79, and he’ll talk to you for hours and hours

Someone should build an F body forum.

Go look at the BMR or UMI website. The both sell cross-member mounted Torque-arm kits. That is what is needed as well as a set of sub-frame connectors and a custom transmission cross-member; THAT’S IT!!!

Basically they use a shorter TA which mounts to a separate cross-member which is welded in between the sub-frame connectors.

there is one; it’s one of the oldest websites & message boards on the net; started in '98; www.camaroz28.com

You will need a custom tranny dipstick too. Lokar makes one, it is around 75 bucks. You will most likely need a new driveshaft too. I’m assuming a powerglide is a different length as a 4L60.

x2

speedped knows everything about fbods, hes probably one of the smartest people I’ve ever met on the interweb

Thanks for all the replys and help
Wow @ 400+$ thats crazy.
As far as speedped, isnt the entire site bashing him currently?
The more I look into this, the more i see it as not worth it.
