I was thinking that it would be a pretty neat idea if there was a chat option somewhere on the son page. Before i have seen a chat located underneath the forums so people not responding to forum posts can chat with anyone hanging around. Also if someone needs tech help imidiatly hopefully someone could help.
All-in-all i think it would be a great way to make son a freindlier closer enviornment.

Good idea, you can check out torontoaccords.com for a good example of adding a chat to the forums…

Edit: TorontoAccord’s chat is cool but it runs off PHP and MySQL. I think
you’d have to setup a database and all that jazz for it to work. Maybe
look into a Java based chat.
We could use a java IRC client for people to access the chat thru a web
interface and I can set this up.
