I went to the track today with hopes of a 9 second pass…

First Pass:

60’ - 1.624
1/8 - 6.596
mph - 110.30
1/4 - 10.233

Second Pass:

60’ - 1.544
1/8 - 6.458
mph - 109.94
1/4 - 10.164
mph - 125.22

Needless to say I’m having so issues up top… We’ll try one more!!!

Last Pass:

60 - 1.495
1/8 - 6.495
mph - 108.90
1/4 - 10.514
mph 108.26

Yes I let off on the last pass, the car was breaking up pretty badly. I guess 9’s will have to wait for next year…

The car’s basic setup consists of the following:

AMS 2.3 Short Block
Stock 2g head
JMF 2g RACE Intake
DNP T4 Manifold
FP T4Z Turbo
ECMLink V3
IPT Built Auto Trans
IPT Convertor
IPT Shift Box
Hoosier Drag Radials
65 Shot of DRY nitrous

Great times man and 9’s for sure on that 60ft. Any idea why it was breaking up?

I don’t see an ignition box on the list, but it’s obviously not a complete list. Still…that’s what comes to mind if it’s not a basic plugs, wires, vac. leak, or tuning issue since he’s obviously making some power.

Something with the ignition… I’m sure by the third pass the plugs were toast but whatever. The 1/8 mile says nines. It will get there. I’m extremely happy knowing it has plenty left on the table as boost was only 33ish.

The car has a dynatek ignition box. The coil may be toast. Could be anything.

With his name, and a quick glance at the parts list telling me 4 cylinder turbo I assumed it was a SRT-4 or the likes.

Congratulations though! I’d want to try for that 9 this season still. Waiting stinks!

He has a red SRT4. It’s kind of like my user name here :wink:

Yes I had an 04 SRT-4 that’s my daily driver. It also went 13.9@100 yesterday completely stock

We both had 67mm turbos but that’s where the similarities STOP

He was 2.0 I’m 2.3
He was 5 speed I’m auto
He was AEM I’m ECMLink
He was all boost (near 40psi) I’m at 33 or so plus 65 Shot

Ah I was under the impression the setups had more similaritys…I was curious since I don’t think he posted track times for his setup just dyno sheets.

He went 10.4X @ like 141 or 142 and made like 710? If I remember correctly.

I’m not making that kind of power. At least not yet. The auto absorbs some of the power and mine is slightly lighter then an evo.

It’s fun! I would expect a full pass to net upper 130’s and maybe MAYBE touch 140. But it will have to wait until next year when the car will be legal to go down the 1320 again
