I would have totally had a joke if this was french class… or anatomy.
Learning a language for a class is just repetition and using it as much as you can. I only took 3 years of it in school but was able to use it when I went to mexico and get by with what I needed to. I know nothing obviously compared to a native or someone who has been speaking it for years but you can put stuff together and get the idea of sentences.

i took 5 years of spanish. im not very good at speaking it right now because i havent used it in about 6 months, but i can pretty much understand a lot.
