Here are the details of my ’87 325iS. The car is built to Spec E30 specifications and has a NASA logbook and tagged cage.
Engine
• Motor rebuilt to factory specs in 2015 with 0 hours on it. New valves in the head, clean and decked, 1[SUP]st[/SUP] oversized diameter pistons, rings, standard sized bearings, all seals were replaced, oil pump with 2 weekends on it installed from a previous motor, oil cooler removed and eS adapter fitted for oil filter.
• Crank scraper and baffle installed at the time of build.
• New HD Sachs clutch kit installed with 2 race weekends from a previous motor.
• Mechanical fan removed in favor of electric fan with driver’s switch.
Suspension / drive gear
• All SE30 legal (Bilstein Sports, H&R Race springs, Ireland Engineering front and rear sway bars)
• Ground Control SE30 camber / caster plates
• New front wheel bearings Spring 2013, 4 race weekends total
• Lug nut conversion on all 4 corners to eliminate wheel studs
• New rotors in May 2015
• Stainless lines
• PFC06 pads for front and rear
• 4 Konig wheels with Toyo RRs and 1 race weekend
Interior / safety
• Cobra Imola S seat
• Standard fire extinguisher mounted on transmission tunnel
• Schroth 6 point cam lock harness installed in 2014
• G Force window net (dated 2013)
• G Force center net
• Engineer-designed cage with unique driver’s side door bars
• Quick release Momo Corsa steering wheel
Spares
• Extra i block and head
• Extra 5 speed transmission
• Extra wiring harness
• Various mechanical bits removed from engine bay still available.
