I was driving past the old little caesars pizza on rt88 in castle shannon. I noticed on the front of the building there was a coming soon sign for Speed Nation. It also had a mustang dynometer sign as well. Im guessing this is going to be an import shop? Anyone got any info? Very small building, I hope they are putting up something else.

looks to me that its a diecast crap and t-shirts, and car magazines, other things then in the back they will have a dyno. dunno though.
thanks for the link. at least there is going to be another option for strapping your car to the dyno.

yeah read it though. “the rollers are so easy to turn you can move them with one finger” that sounds like that will be very very accurate.
i heard that place sucks
not sure. many will argue that a md is the most accurate chassis dyno out there. in the mustang scene the dyno jet is standard and most report there numbers in sae.
looks uber ghey:rolleyes:
well if thats the dyno out in mcdonals or from out that way i believe they had to shut it down cause it was in a residential area, but i heard the dyno was real inacurate unless they got it repaired

they prob are moving from there to the one on 88 becasue of that problem.
and i bet they just load it up and move it down to the one in castel shannon.
innaccurate compared to what? inflated dynojet numbers?
Mike Ancas runs it, he wrote book on how to make hondas handle(not like anyone in this thread cares) and has a sickly fast AutoX civic…
but i think one of the guys that works there is on this board… they had to move because neighbors to the old place complained about noise from the dyno…
I doubt its JUST a import shop, im sure if you come with cash in hand they wont hesitate to dyno your car.

mikes a cool guy we have been up to mcdonald a few times, you should see all the diecast cars he has at his house:eek: I would say that they re bringing the dyno with them, and if you ever traveled on connor road you can see one of the guys lives in thosae townhouses uo the street
mustang dyno equals more accurate numbers. it uses weight of vehicle and how much hp it takes to sustain 50 mph to simulate inertia.if you turn it off youll get a higher rating. you will hate it if you are after a big numbers instead of tunning purposes.mike is a good guy though.ive used it more than twice and glad it will be closer.
Thats kewl i just heard bad stories about the place, but i gues everyone either good or bad still has ther bad days and there haters
mike ancus and jim mystic build some fast hondas that turn just as fast as they go straight. they also have this cool cosmo thing that neonmike book around in. the controversy over the dyno shutting down was because of a 3rd party involvment that used the dyno past the operating time that was set up, this pissed a bunch of the neighbors off so they had to shut it down until further notice. as for them being “ghey” you should probably meet them and talk to them before you make the judgement based on what they “sell” MAYBE you should come check out some of the cars they’ve built too…or the fact that they’ve been building hondas since the 70s…wasn’t it lou who was saying not to cast judgements based on what type of car someone chose to build??? MANY times i’ve seen mikes 70hp civic take FTD over george chabel in his saleen and some of the quicker “non-import” type cars.
yep… i give them :bigthumb: :bigthumb: :stupid:
are we talking about the multi colored civic that gets trailored to the autox events from jefferson hills?
hahaha
