- As you may know, SG is now a direct SPL dealer and we would like to give you more information on the entire line of SPL Suspension products.
Starting with Front Multi-Link
Front Tension Rods -
SPL pro front tension rods are adjustable for front caster, spherical metal bearing improves steering feedback and reduces deflection in the suspension for maximum performance. Features that distinguish our tension rods from competitors:
• Beefy 32mm 6061-T6 billet aluminum rod
• Tough QA1 3/4" teflon-lined chromoly rod ends
• Seals-It rod end seals protects the rod ends for maximum life, these seals will not crack or split like dust boots!
• Built in mounting for our optional brake cooling air deflectors
• OEM quality hardware
• Anodized Black (Red and Blue are discontinued)
Front Tie Rod End -
On cars that are lowered significantly, the stock outer tie rod ends can bind and snap or bend the tie rods. SPL outer tie rod ends have more articulation angle than stock tie rod ends, and have adjustable spacers to move the outer tie rod end lower to correct bump steer.
The bumpsteer spacers are integral to the design and reinforce the shank under bending loads. Spacers are CNC machined from 2024 aircraft aluminum alloy (also known as Super Duralumin), a much stronger (and much more expensive) aluminum than the more common 6061, this expensive alloy is lightweight yet has almost the same strength as steel.
Inner Tie Rod Set-
SPL offers 3 types of inner tie rods for use with our outer tie rod ends.
240SX with stock knuckles, for drift use: Tein Z33 inner tie rods. These beefy tie rods are much stronger than stock, and are supplied with steering angle spacers for increased steering angle at full lock, for improved control in drifting.
240SX with stock knuckles, for grip or street use: OEM Z32 inner tie rods. These beefy tie rods are also much stronger than stock, and are supplied with locking plates for a full OEM install.
240SX with certain modified knuckles, for drift use: Tein S14 inner tie rods. Please confirm with the maker of your modified knuckles about compatibility; these inner tie rods are needed for certain knuckles that need a steering tie rod assembly that is longer than stock.
Rear Multi-Link
Rear Upper Control Arms: SPL’s upper arms allow for an increased range of adjustment for rear camber, offering a total of 8.5deg (largest range on the market) of camber adjustment.
These arms feature massive 1.5" diameter DOM tubing, professionally tig welded with a 10deg angle to provide extra frame rail clearance on lowered cars. SPL uses QA1’s Endura chromoly rod ends, which are designed specifically for motorsports, featuring a teflon/kevlar injection molded liner that makes the rod end self-lubricating and self-cleaning.
New for version 3, the arms also feature our new Hybrid adjuster, which allows for consistent and accurate alignments using a billet aluminum clamp that prevents the spherical bearing from rotating when locking down the alignment.
Adjustment specs: -5.5deg to +3deg from stock arm
Available in Black or Polished Finish –
Rear Toe Rod (Set):
SPL toe arms allow for an increased range of rear toe adjustment, necessary for lowered cars or cars with performance alignments, as the stock eccentric bolt does not provide enough adjustment range to keep the toe in spec once the vehicle is lowered.
SPL toe arms feature 1.25" chromoly tubing, professionally tig welded to a angled steel sleeve to allow for increased clearance from the arm to the subframe bushings on lowered cars. The sleeve is CNC machined from billet steel, to provide maximum strength to support the bending loads from the angle on the arm. These use QA1’s Endura chromoly rod ends, which are designed specifically for motorsports, featuring a teflon/kevlar injection molded liner that makes the rod end self-lubricating and self-cleaning. New for version 3, these arms also feature our new Hybrid adjuster, which allows for consistent and accurate alignments using a billet aluminum clamp that prevents the spherical bearing from rotating when locking down the alignment.

Rear Traction Rods:
The traction rods hold the rear wheels in position relative to the chassis during acceleration and deceleration. SPL traction rods allow for length adjustment (total of 1.5" of adjustment, largest range on the market) which can be used to alter rear suspension toe (bump steer) under suspension travel (should be setup by a race alignment shop – aka SG).
These toe arms feature 1.25" tubing, and QA1’s Endura chromoly rod ends, which are designed specifically for motorsports, featuring a teflon/kevlar injection molded liner that makes the rod end self-lubricating and self-cleaning. New for version 3, these arms also feature our new Hybrid adjuster, which allows for consistent and accurate alignments using a billet aluminum clamp that prevents the spherical bearing from rotating when locking down the alignment.
Note: Hicas must be disabled on cars equipped with Hicas.
Adjustment specs: -7/8" to +5/8" from stock length

SPL PRO Solid Sub Frame Bushings:
These CNC machined T6061 aluminum subframe bushings completely replace the stock bushings to eliminate free play of the subframe relative to the chassis, reducing wheel hop and improving suspension performance. SPL’s new version 2 solid subframe bushings is designed to allow the subframe to sit up to 1/2" closer to the chassis (raising the subframe), which will allow up to 1/2" compensation of roll center for a lowered car.
However raising the subframe will not just change roll center, it will also increase anti-squat. Therefore SPL subframe bushings include 1/4" slide in shims so you can quickly raise or lower the subframe in minutes, and adjust the roll center and anti-squat behavior to best fit your driving style! These unique adjustable subframe bushings offer a completely new way to tune the suspension behavior.
SPL PRO Solid Differential Mounting Bushings:
These CNC machined T6061 aluminum differential mounting bushings will hold the differential solidly to the subframe, significantly reducing wheel hop and improving power transfer to the ground. Reducing movement of the differential during hard launches will also help prevent damage the drive shaft and half shafts.
This SPL bushing set includes the front bushings that press onto the pumpkin as well as the rear bushings that press onto the subframe.
