When I had my 94 GTP W-body i was on w-body.com and same thing, I cannot believe even myself thought they so such good cars, FUCK THAT haha them things are trash.

I rebuilt the '97 my dad has from a rolled over wreck with the help of my friend and his dad and when it was done I decided I liked the Neon I had better and sold it to my father. Then I made the mistake of selling the Neon and buying a Blazer with the money I got from selling the Olds. I shouldve kept the Neon.
I hate driving the Cutlass- it feels like driving a Sherman tank around- its heavy and clunky.
I like the way the GTP handles, but the interior parts are cheap and noisey and fall apart easily, the door panels and the armrest and the switches and knobs and seats all falling apart so easily. The seats are hella comfortable.
But what ever, its not even that quick, and the engines are SHIT, yea SHIT, and its wrong wheel drive. I seen a northstar V8 conversion, but with RWD conversion as well… with new suspension and everything thought it was cool… now im seriously wondering who the fuck would waste that time and money and effort on a fuckin w-body
The 3100 v6 is a POS. My father’s sounds like a diesel at idle and its done that ever since I bought it with 56k and alot of other ones sound exactly the same.
The interior feels cheap and panels and knobs fall off alot.
yea and the 3.4 which i had is even worse POS and the tranny is even worse than the motor, oh gawd you know what, the entire thought is just rotting my brain

GTP’s handle like frieght trains so idk what you’re talking about that you like the way they handle. I have a 2000 and it handles like a dumptruck. I’m sure the early 90’s ones were not better either.

3.4- they took a piece of shit (2.8), made it a bigger piece of shit (3.1) and then made it an even bigger piece of shit (3.4).
wasnt the 3.1 a pushrod engine ? or was that overhead cammed too ?
the 3.4 came out with 287hp then down tuned to 220 cuz the tranny company couldnt supply nothing better for the CRAP budget GM had on trannys
they all were pushrods…

the 3100 and 3.1 where I THOUGHT pushrod engines, there for not the same engines as 3.4
and were a bit better in dependability than 3.4 but still a big POS

The DOHC 3.4 is a nightmare to work on. Theres no room at all in the engine bay.
When I was in college for auto repair we had a Lumina Z34 come in with an oil leak. The entire motor was soaked with oil and we couldnt tell where it was coming from and I remember not having any room to work on anything.
yea there was no room in the gtp either, what a mess… not worth it
throw em in the junkyard, only cool thing i still think is the body shape and appearance of the pontiacs with B4u kits, other than that, no sympathy anymore

when i had my 91, and the 3.1 went, thought about the 3.8 but couldnt find one cheap locally. how i miss spinning the tires for 5 minutes at 1mph then after abuot 5mph it had no power. just enough to spin the wheels good.
ya for the money its not worth the swap, u get a honda and H22 swap it or something
