Came across this on another forum… if this stuff can make it to the states that would be insane… for some reason I doubt it ever will though
That is fucking HOT.
Seems pretty cool
I don’t get why this wouldn’t see any use stateside if it is indeed a good product.
I would be concerned about health risks if we start spraying everything with nano-level glass particles, though.
My thoughts are that companies that produce cleaning products and such wouldnt want this stuff getting big…I wonder if this is something that we could treat metals with to prevent rust (i.e. Buffalo sucks so lets undercoat our cars with this stuff)
you obviously didnt read even the first paragraph of the article
The coating is environmentally harmless and non-toxic, and easy to clean using only water or a simple wipe with a damp cloth.
You obviously are gullible. I, on the other hand, am OK with doubting the word of a press release by the manufacturer that their product is 100% safe. Give me peer reviewed independent studies and empirical evidence.
My understanding is that this isn’t a durable and persistent coating. It would need to be reapplied on a regular basis.
I too am a little skeptical this stuff and don’t know about breathing in nano glass particles.
If can’t imagine the effects this stuff would have when it is coating the inside of the human lungs, nose, mouth, eyes, ect.
I want to see it tested on PETA members extensively.
:biglaugh:
It’s like asbestos. It’s perfectly benign if you are holding a lump of it in your hand, but when you manufacture it into fiber and dust, it becomes very dangerous. Glass is non-toxic, but what happens when you start altering it’s physical characteristics to a point where it can be absorbed through skin?
Yeah, I’m gonna jump on the “I don’t want to breathe tiny glass shards” bandwagon
i can see Vince from sham-Wow fame pushing this
