it it normal for the ignitor chip / amplifer … to get pretty hot??
if not any idea’s what might be causeing this
FYI 89 with redtop sr /s14 ignitor / new engine harness / old coil pack harness

I’ve noticed mine get warm, but not so hot that I cannot hold it.
o k so it’s normal … any one ever though about bolting the ignitor on a nice piece of alummium and the bolt the aluminum to the shock tower …the alu would act like a good heat sink , just like car speaker amp would this extend the life of an ignitor
Well originaly these are bolted to a bracket which is bolted to the strut tower and allows for air to flow on both sides. so you could use that if u can find one…
