What do u guys think of them…I’m a couple days away from prolly buying 1…just wanted to get some more opinions…
I just got a chance to drive an 05 srt-4 the other day. It was decent, not quite as fast as i thought. I found the bolstering on the seats extremely uncomfortable and the dash looked like it was super far away. Other than that it handled pretty decent and had gobs of torque. My other complain was the massive amount of wheelspin even with the LSD tranny.
That’s what I heard, about the wheelspin, when I drove a 04 I was really impressed w the speed, and handeling. Turbo was actually spooling pretty fast also.
loved mine get one. 14.0 stock or 13.9
with big front mount intercooler. stage one computer and stage 2 waste gate i went 13.3 at 100mph. (thats like 500 bucs into the car)
then adding 3" o2 housing and 3"downpipe with cutout i went 13.3 at 106 spinning first second and part of 3rd. with good tires it could have gone 12’s with less then a grand into the car.
handled nice road nice got 28mpg + on the highway and avg about 22 or so in the city staying out of boost. and as low as 15ish having fun. i would kill to get another one for what i sold mine for… dotn get an 03 if you plan on auto X’g it because of the open diff in it. mine was an 04 and fun as hell.
My sister has one and its pretty much the same way
spins in 1st and 2nd
3rd gear feels like a GSR hatch
overall a decent car for the price, i wouldent mind having one i would take one over an RSX or something similar

On a side note, since i sold the integra I’m looking for a new daily driver. I found a 2004 black srt-4 with low miles for $14,000 I just may pick it up to drive for a year or so.
i have nothing but good things to say about the car. i prevously owned a evo8, and it was hard to get over the fwd along with wheel spin out the a$$. but the thing is soooo strong. i bought mine stock…its a 05 at the time it had 2k miles, and i piked it up for 16.5K. now its got a few mods(still stock turbo) and its runnin alot better. Parts for the srt’s are nicly priced. if u have any general questions about the car let me know.
You actually think it will last that long with you? And are you going to sell it and buy it back in a year.

yea i was looking at them before i bought my stang. I like them alot,good car for the money.
ive heard rumers of it bein awd? im not to sure how true that is…but either way i hate the looks of the caliber. again thats just my opinion
one of my best friends had an SRT-4 for a couple years… i thought the handling was poor… understeers like nothing else… only thing that ever really impressed me on it was the brakes… the car stops on a dime.
edit: oh, and his was a stage II with some other things done to it
overall pretty good cars. it has a ton more hop-up potential than my car (SS Cobalt) and is along the same lines as far as quality, maybe a tad less though. i think SRT4s are sweet though. i hate base neons and have a hard time getting passed that tho.
eveything i read said that the caliber srt4 is FWD only. 300hp 260lb-ft
