HRE
maybe if they where a reliable wheel manufacturer
Yeah, because we all see the stresses of high performance race cars at 150+ mph.:bloated:
For the driving that 99.999% of the people in the world do, they are perfectly fine and very nice.
Mike, it’s not only the large amount of failures from anyone who tracks the cars. I’ve seen tons of HRE wheels up close, there are TONS of flaws in the finishes on a lot of their wheels and their customer service sucks. Not to mention, wheels that crack/split in half in high performance situations, or the rediculously high price.
why does HRE have such a hit or miss rep
ok, MPD cleared that up, what about i forged?
See above ^^^
or about the 16" rims being 16 and quarter, their QC sucks

I didn’t think iForged was still in business. I have heard horror stories about them though.

Very valid points.
They certainly are very expensive, but I always see people bashing HRE wheels b/c they have seen a pic here or there of one breaking in a racing situation. I have seen kinesis break as well. Nature of the high stresses involved.
Are they the best wheel out there for racing? No.
Are they an “unreliable wheel manufacturer”? No.
Are they overpriced, show wheels? Yes.
/ of HRE content in this thread.

Alot of iforged issues were involving water collecting where the center section/barrel meets the rim. Kind of hit or miss, but water collects in there, and then when at speed, it causes the wheels to vibrate. They developed some sort of block or piece to go in there and divert water out. I do believe the reverse drop eliminates the problem as well.
Audi sniper had them and he went nuts with the vibration problems in the rain. Called iforged and they said “Sorry sir, but most of our customers do not drive in the rain.” haha…
Nice quality, a PITA to keep clean, and primarily show wheels.

The reason for the post, is that ive heard that these rims bend easily… is this true?
No.
SSRs will be bent in a matter of minutes on Buffalo streets.
Umm… no.
I’ve had SSR wheels on my vette for about 2.5 years and they have yet to bend due to the streets in Buffalo. One got curb rash due to the streets…but thats a different story.
what abut some volk le-37
only in gunmetal, so little bit darker
Yes the GT3 bends RATHER easily. I have a set of 5, want to buy them? The spare in the trunk has a small bend on the inner lip thanks to the tire shop who mounted the tires.

those look really nice on that car
Wait… is this your car, because if so it already looked hot with wheels similar to the JLines I posted, or maybe they are JLines…
