All E36 are like that because of the way the fenders are cut. Even late model E30 are the same.

Interesting that he decided to take the plate off. Theoretically it cleans up the car, but we are so used to seeing plates on cars that now it looks just a tad bit off.

i think the car is def clean, i think without a huge plate in the back makes it look cleaner, but definetly weird as well.
