see that’s what I don’t get, everywhere I read people theorize that at lock you want as little or no positive camber on the inside wheel, yet every competition level car I see with lots of angle has a ton of positive camber.

positive camber on the inside wheel at lock, not centered. It’s probably just a trade off of running more caster, but still, you’d think that’d make the car front end tough to steer well at/near lock.

Ohhh on the inside wheel… At crazy angles, depending on the ackermann, you might want positive camber for less traction so it doesn’t drag.

yeah

yea the leading wheel at lock with alot of angle always has alot of positive camber. I guess that theory to have as little as possible would be just to have the front end bite. But like steve said it might also add drag, if it did that it would kind of work against having that angle.

Well since all the weight should be on the leading tire I’d think you’d want it as flat as possible, the trailing wheel shouldn’t matter, and I’d think you’d want it to drag as little as possible by either having a ton of negative camber, or zero ackerman, or both. but then the car would turn in like a bag of dicks.

You do but I don’t think it would be that easy to get the tire that flat without sacrificing the neg camber you need for most drifts that arent at full lock.
