Obviously someone who knew it was in there. Neighbors, people who came to look at it, anyone he gave his address to. Start there.

I have a pretty damn good idea, just trying to link it back to him… phone number, meet up ect…

i live right near there, ill keep my peepers open

Someone near me in Sanborn had an 09’ CRF 450 stolen right out of their attached garage last night… 100% indians out here though, not sure what happened in this case but the last time it happened they rode the bikes right away straight to the rez… Once they hit the Rez they’re done, good luck with your buddies though hopefully you’ve got better luck than my friends did…

Casino or slurpee indians?

that sucks… hope he had insurance… it has to be cheap on a dirtbike.

My girlfriend cuts a lot of the indians’ hair on the tonawanda reservation, so maybe she can poke around and find something out :stuck_out_tongue:
I do feel kinda weird leaving my tractor and splitter out every night after reading this though, :\

Can we go to the res and take stuff and run back out?

If I see it on the rez I fully intend on doing this.

Try not to get shot in the process. What sort of laws/rights do you have if you find the bike on the res? Potentially a stupid question, but is it the same?

Honestly, I have no idea. I’m going to poke around at the local bar and see what I can find. Buy the indians some shots and you will be amazed what you can get out of them…

I have a dirt bike for sale and I will not show it where I keep it cause of douche nozzles like this.

Adam im only a few minutes away. if you need anything let me know buddy.

You drive I shoot?

I used to be the same way when I was selling my bikes, when possible I’d try and meet at a neutral location.

Bottom line, have insurance, so this doesnt bother you so much.

Oh cool, you stole my 5000 dollar bike… one month later, i have a check for 6k from the insurance company. (assuming they were fair and it was like all the streetbikes that I know have been stolen) not to sure on dirtbike valuation.

Lets go all Dog the Bounty Hunter on the rez. I am sure we could find a bunch of stuff to take back.

None if you take it into your own hands. My family had a boat trailer stolen when I was living at home (near the Akwesasne reservation on the St Lawrence River) and a couple weeks later I was cruising around the reservation on our boat looking in people’s back yards from the river. I spotted a bright blue pontoon boat trailer and made a note of where it was since no one makes bright blue pontoon boat trailers. Went back by car and got a good look at it and saw that it had a non-matching trailer tongue, the paint was fresh, no license plates, the plate with the vin had been removed, and it was originally the OEM gray. We took our trailer tongue out of the trailer to make it harder to steal, and our trailer was gray so I knew damn well it was ours, but just took off before anyone saw me. I went home, called the reservation police, and got the “we’ll try to get down there this week and take a look”. Furious I called up 2 good friends, then called the police back and told them they could either get down there today or myself and 3 buddies were going down there heavily armed and taking my fucking trailer back. The police agreed to meet me about a mile from the guy’s house in 30 minutes. My 85 Toyota Tercel drove right down the guy’s driveway, escorted by 2 Mohawk Police cruisers. While the police were looking the trailer over and noticing it’s lack of license plate and missing VIN the big fat indian comes out and starts talking shit. I then took my trailer tongue out of my car and the cop slides it into the trailer. Not surprisingly it fits perfect, and the rust line where it stops going into the trailer lines up perfect, as well as the paint matching the parts they forgot to paint blue. About this time two of the guy’s buddies pull up on 4 wheelers. I’m getting nervous, I can see it in the eyes of the two cops that they’re getting nervous. So the cop hooks the trailer up to his cruiser and takes it back to the station, telling the guy he has 48 hours to provide proof of ownership. 48 hours later we claimed our trailer from the police station.

Of course the thief was never charged, typical of Mohawk Police. About 6 months later he got caught up in a huge smuggling bust by the state police though, and I have a feeling they started looking at the guy closer because of the attention he got with my trailer.

Awesome story
