Anyone game to race at a test n tune day at beaver run in the spring? I personally would like to take on some f bodies on a level which requires more than just straight line performance. I feel true performance should be judged on all levels not just acceleration, kind of like Sport Compacts Ultimate Street Car Competition. Does anyone else share my opinion here, or are all of you just drag strippers?
i like all kinds of motorsport. I might just have to take you up on your offer for a couple of laps at the beave this spring sounds like fun.
I am with you on that. But there are a lot of ignorate that think that f-bodies can’t handle and can only drag. When I went to autocross some of the fastest times of the day were posted by stock f-bodies. But to sum up uyour question there are a lot of people on here that judge cars on all performance aspects. But most guys on here only care who would win a a straight race.

Skidpad has the suspension in a semi-static state. It’s just one indicator of cornering ability.

So do quarter mile times…One indicator of a car’s accelerating ability. The only reason I asked is because I go by numbers over what anyone says. For instance someone can say his ford taurus handles better than anything on the road, but it doesn’t really mean anything because he has no credibility.
In my book, a car that can pull .96 g’s on the skidpad should be able to take turns faster than a car that can pull .90 g’s. Just like a car that run’s 12.0’s should beat a 12.5 car in a drag race. Now with different variable’s like temperature, track conditions, driver, etc. The slower car can edge out the faster car, but everything being the same, the faster car is determined by numbers.
BTW I have 2 years of an engineering degree completed. I have switched my major now, but thats not important.
