Street Racing

So what events would be in these "olympics? Drag, autocross, and what else? I’m down for it.

vechical repair!(sodsmshaveachance)!

:bsflag: pic with penny!!!

Vehicle repair…thats a good one. I’d probably win that one for the most repairs, but anyways what would the events be?

I don’t get it. I never raced my GTP and I would use the ws6 for autocross. Ws6 is the greatest car ever :burnout:

That must be why they discontinued production of them.

The only “tone” I am lettin off, is that I am tired of hearing about drag racing and I want some competition on another level. I have full respect and likeness for those who participate in drag racing on a professional or even sportsman level. I even will go so far as to say that I like the huge rise of sport compact drag racing. I think development of front drive traction technology is important and a great challenge given the physics that are involved. I do though, think alot of people have lost site of what Honda’s design intentions were, to race on a road course. I think that its a more level playing ground for all involved. Technology from road racing makes its way into Honda’s from everything from F1 to SCCA and the same goes for GM, Ford, and Dodge. Look at the spike in performance and aerodynamics in the C bodies since GM’s return to full sponsor racing. I shouldn’t have to even go farther here…all the companies have a reputation in some form of racing.

As far as the track day goes, I think that street tires and no nitrous should be the basics. I think the cars should be street legal for the mostpart (looking beyond the little things like a missing cat. and/or EGR blockoff plate…you know the typical things we get away with while still having stickers on our windshield).

Lastly, I am not an asshole looking for arguements, I am looking for some good competition…period. I just want to know who has a truly mean streetcar, not just a mean stripcar.

why no NOS?

because then people like you would wiiiiiiiiiin :D:D

Because cars with NOS aren’t street legal. My car passed inspection/emissions the way it sits right now, yesterday. Without one thing wrong. I think cars that are going to compete in these events should be street legal.

:blah: :blah:

:wtf: you talking about? since when is nitrous not legal

my car passed inspection/emissions when the engin was blew up whats your point

WS6 would hand you your ass in an autocross event.
They did not discontinue the F-body for performance reasons…

as a matter of fact, bang for buck, the LS1 F-body was pretty much untouchable.

They were discontinued due to new crash test standards coming up in 2005, which the F-body did not meet. It would be to expensive to retool the whole lineup for the change. So they put it on hiatus, and brought over the GTO to fill the gap. It has been announced already, that the Camaro will be returning in 2007, as a platform share with the GTO.

As well as the Monte Carlo, switching to a RWD platform (Cadillac CTS). As well as the Bonneville.

As well as the comment about nitrous… Welcome to street racing pie… Run what you brung junior, and just hope it’s enough to win

yteah cuz of the driver…scott salsi is one of the high ranking scca drivers in his 98 tsi and jtoby from out cpa with his 95 (i think it’s a 95)

sells also did in the Fbodys, mainly woman buy the cars and not to many woman want to drive the car cause of hte Apiller, the long hood low seat height. Car wasnt a turnon for most woman thus not worth it when the pony car offered a better ergos for same price

Kurt, stock for stock, the Talon is a shitbox compared to the WS6 on the road course, and autocross

now lets throw an SLP Stage 3 SS/Firehawk into the mix (factory options)

and you have no chance whatsoever
