Would a wireless router(or something else) boost the signal of my friends Wifi? She runs it off places downtown and the signal reach sucks.

This has come up before. Remember tho. You need to boost the signal on two sides. If you are increasing the power of your router, you might see teh wireless signal with a laptop further away but your laptop might not be able to transmit to it becuase it doesn’t have the same power increase.

I keep telling here to get broadband its not that expensive, especially since her and her roomate could split it but shes a girl so you know how they are. She has a built in one, which is probably why its so bad, but can she buy a usb wireless router to use for Wifi or any such device.
