i posted them because i read good feedback on them and possibly an alternative to Defis. i loved my SPA gauges tho, but i sold them. i wanted gauges to match the interior of the STI so i may get Defis again
well i havent looked into these but the Maddad gauges come with a wireless remote instead of a control box. my SPA had an external button these may as well

Something tells me they wouldn’t use those gauges on a car of that caliber if they sucked/weren’t accurate.
No Layzie I did not buy these and I have no reason to try them. If you want to use them despite people buying them and posting problems that’s up to you. You also have to understand that many of the people posting positive reviews may not know any better.
The Mad Dad ones had the exploding oil pressure sending units. The boost gauge was way off and the needles moved erratically and slowly just like the review of the STRI ones that JROD posted. Because of that the EGT gauge never got anywhere near an accurate reading when you did a pull. It would get up to 1300 when you’re really probably around 1600.
Gruppe-S is the shadiest company I know. PERIOD. They stole money from multiple customers of ours, two shops I’m friendly with, and from us directly. They’ve also been dropped by numerous vendors for shady dealings. They are the epitome of a shitty company.
We’ve never had a problem with ANY Defi product. EVER. There have been no accuracy problems that we know of and certainly no problems with them not turning on or other functions. We sell them because they work and that’s why I use them on my own car.
relax mike, i didnt say they were better then Defi. ill probably get Defi, i just posted them to let people see them. maybe for people that cant afford Defis or what not

I’ll be waiting to see how his end up working after they’re on for a while. I’m all for a cheaper gauge setup that really does work well…it’s just that we see this sort of stuff ALL the time and they never work well despite cheapskates online saying they’re great. It gets frustrating.
