Andrew.
There’s some confusing things I came across when looking at the specs on your laptop. I may not be an expert on cars, but I have more than adequate creds when it comes to computers.
Two major things:
-A 133Mhz PII never existed.
-Windows 2000 Pro WILL NOT run on a machine with 32mb ram and 1.3GB hdd.
yes it will, jsut badly. And yea, theres no such thing as a p2-133
yeah I noticed those too. #1 seems to be an honest mistake.
But I don’t know how its running either. You sure the lap top isn’t a PII 166. That was the slowest PII
the 233 was the first PII… 166 was a MMX and a non MMX P1 CPU…
Your probably thinking about the PPro… 150… etc…
It actually specifies a bare minimum of 64Mb of ram, and will run like ASS on anything less than 128mb, and 2Gb of storage space… That’s for the lowest version of 2000, it goes up from there.
And I do believe that the 233 was the lowest spec P2 made (I had a 266 myself great processor)
i bet the 2000 pro runs like a bag on that thing…
ok , notebook is SOLD .
BTW 2000 runs perfect on it .
