Power comes in relatively smooth (usually) due to a non BB 70mm turbo. 1st gear doesn’t make enough boost without a launch to really be an issue and after that power isn’t put to the ground all that hard. It mght be the weather I dont’ know but it’s behaving totally different tonight.
not sure what tires you have, but all of my cars have performance tires, and I lose traction from a dead stop if i mash it in the first 3 gears.
