ECU, Uncut Wiring Hareness, and MAF, it was beautiful (expect for that nasty fan.

So that and the AC compressor were history.

Much better.

Not a fan of the rims. If you’re going chrome you need some dish.

But cool nonetheless.

Next came the timing belt covers…

Replace the old timing belt with the new GReddy one

http://i123.photobucket.com/albums/o317/Holiday_Styles/PC190557.jpg

And remove the valve covers to get powder coated

http://i123.photobucket.com/albums/o317/Holiday_Styles/PC230558.jpg

Now I’ve gotten much farther than this, but I’ll post up later.
Hopefully you enjoyed the pics so far, and you are mad jealous right now.

Very nice. Also very similar to what I’ve got going. Also, does the greddy manifold come with a new gasket?

Nope. I’m kinda pissed (800 bucks and no gasket).
I’m getting a new one from the skyline shop along with the valve cover gaskets. I’ve read on a forum that you can actually use the old gasket if its nice, but the IM is off right now, so might as get a new one.

KA Removal Time

The engine is tight but it ain’t one of these:
http://i123.photobucket.com/albums/o317/Holiday_Styles/P1080578.jpg

White powder coating, that’s right. How many Valve cover/IM’s have you seen in white. I’m pretty sure you can count it on one hand. And if you think it’ll get crazy dirty, its soooooo easy to clean off.

Insert Engine Here:

:vom: Needs a wash BADLY, I already know. :vom:

Finally got the clutch on (It was on back order).

This is as far as I’ve gotten. Hopefully I’ll more pics and stuff soon. I’ll be washing the engine bay this week and getting some gaskets soon. Then it’s going in. Feel free to comment, ask a question, or make a suggestion (don’t tell me to re-powdercoat it a different colour though. I love the white :tonqe: )

whats the e.g. set up are u going to be running, i.e. turbo type/size, inj size, and what is going to be used for? drag/ drift/ show/ rice haha

Definatly clean that engine bay, and possibly paint or get it painted to what colour the cars going to be. Those are the two things I regret not doing when I did my sr swap.

Looks really sexy, Good job

are those rims 17x7???

i think they are 18x5.5’s

It sure is different than what most people do to their 240’s

Looks like it. Should have bought a new turbo instead.

either way, this is going to be nice when it’s done, gl.

And i am glad everone has their own opinion of what is nice.

In my opinion it is going to be a riced out POS. But to each their own

^ i think you should just leave the stockers on… those belong on an suv… you’d be turning heads for the wrong reason. other than that should be interesting when it’s done, GL!

The engine is pretty stock it costs a lot to do the swap itself. It’s my dd but I want to be able to bring it to a show (that’s why its powdered) and I want to try some autocrossing once the suspension gets upgraded a bit.

In my opinion it is going to be a riced out POS.

Its all gravy. I like been different. I could run Advan Series 2 or whatever and be like everybody else. I want to roll up (when I get the swap done) to someone that posts on here, and they see my chrome rims and be like “Hey, its that dude Styles from necc he’s got a RB25 under the hood.” Personally I think rice is wings, kits, and black rims with chrome lips; but that’s just my opinion.

So what size are those wheels?

i dont mind chrome rims at all but should have gotten a wider wheel and lower offset!! sunken battleship ftw
