My wife is friends with the one of the owners of Aquamania, a 4-person version of that boat based in Alex Bay; There’s another one in TI too, My Way IV; currently the fastest Mystic C5000; GPS at 221mph last I heard, and the owner is still just breaking in the boat.

I actually help mask/prep/paint that G3 Boat for Kolorcraft in Syracuse. The owner Greg is the crew cheif for the race team. It’s twin Turbined with a total of 3200 HP and a complete carbon fiber hull. They took off the 2011 season and will be back in action this year. I also wired up thier entertainment system in the team trailer when it was here. That thing is no joke!

Nice! yea, my wife knows Rick (Throttles) through her friend Tommy who bought a boat from him, and from spilling a drink on Rick’s wife at one of the parties for the Kingston Poker Run; then proceeding to buy his wife and all her friends drinks, then they became friends. Tommy actually got offered a back-seat in Aquamania for the Kingston run 2 years ago; bastard didn’t take it… Should be interesting this year though, Bill Tomlinson now has My-Way IV up there; and considering when G3/Aquamania beat My-Way III a few season ago Bill almost instantly sold it and ordered a Mystic as well; he got a pair of “test” engines from Miss-Geico (another Mystic) that they said were “too much” for the race circuit because no one else would even come close to catching them; he has those in My-Way IV. G3 is going to have to step up their game or let Bill have the “King of the Thousand Islands” title back. My Way IV did 221mph per GPS at the LOTO shootout last summer while they were still working the kinks out of the boat, from what I heard it should have 230mph in it in the right conditions.
I would probably give my left nut for a ride during a poker run in one of these, and probably both to own one and be able to afford to operate it.
Damn, Florida is looking like a better option every day lol.

I think that MTI is a 48’, and the Mystic I know is a 50’.
Head up to TI the first weekend of August, you can see boats like this in action; nothing like one going by a 200+mph with the turbines screaming; sounds so weird hearing a boat make the sound of a jet the first time you hear it.
