I only did the paint on the supra, and was very limited on how much I could do since the paint is so thin to begin with… but it turned out pretty decent regardless. BTW this car has no clearcoat.

Wow dood
Nice
you saw this at carlisle…
Just out of curiosity, why doesnt it have any clearcoat? Is that they way it came from Toyota or is it a repaint? Either way that looks 100x better after you were done.
wow… now if that guy didnt give you a blow job or atleast offer up his g/f he got one hell of a deal.
that car looks a billion times better
Looks great!
That way from the dealer.
I am not sure what you are talking about?
A side note about this car… I was actually happier about the way the headlights turned out than the paint. They were all hazy beforehand and after a clay/polish, they are like new
Bah, I edited it, because I confused you detailers! I meant TPGSR but thought it was you for half a second. But I did send my uncle an email about what you asked about FYI.
wow man, that came out awesome…excellent work
I am available for details, obviously. Although I recommend TPGSR or GLANZ as well, they both taught me most of what I know, and they are both more experienced.
it looks awesome, but you already know I thought that.
Toyota believes that black looks best without clearcoat. Many (most) Lexus blacks don’t have clears (the metallic blacks do). Some Honda reds aren’t clearcoated. BMW Dakar yellow (up to around 98 i think) is not clearcoated. Acura phoenix yellow is not clearcoated.
I actually think the non clear coated dakar yellow looks better than the clearcoated. shrug.
wow, they taught you well
any before pics of the headlights?
nice lookin cars getting detailed these days
Ohhhh snap, that look great.
awesome job mang… learned everything about detailing from corey and mike as well
edit: what did u go with as far as polish, wax and such
Tom did a sweet job on the ride… Nobody ever believed me that the car was single stage paint or not clearcoated. Now I just have to take car of all those dents.
I’ve ALWAYS loved those cars…
Looks great!!!
My brothers black 951 has no clear. I thnk they called it laquer black.
The younger members may not even know this but clear is relatively new in the automotive world.
great job tom
