When I get the new crankcase hoses/weatherpack clips I’ll put them on and attempt to drive her around EG for a bit.
Ray, were your weatherpack clips that attach to the coil packs dry rotted as well?

Yea the vpc has nothing to do with the battery from what I have read up for ya Ry. Try it in the nicer weather and see how she does

Update:
I pulled one of the fuses again and decided to take it for a drive. I went easy for the first 15minutes or so and the car would hesitate like crazy @ 3000 RPMS. Like it hit a wall, then would go past and boost like normal.
I got into a little bit and the car pulled very hard. (It’s like 50 degrees out here so I’m sure that helped). I then noticed the stumble started to go away and doesn’t really exist anymore. I think the ECU or VPC needed to relearn. Still not sure how it works but it seems to be running better. I need to pull the plugs again because I forgot to regap them. Can anyone reccomend a decent gap for my setup? .28 Ray?
Car still makes me a bit nervous, i really need standalone I think. I’ll tell you what though, the car pulls like a freight train at night now, 2nd gear is a blurr.
good im glad it,s workin for ya like i said it prolly just needed to relearn for ya a lot of cars will do that to ya ;D
.026-.028" should be fine for youre setup. if im not mistaken ray runs about .025-.027 for his
You don’t “need” a standalone.
Gap as tight as you can get away with but .28 is what I run. But, that probably doesn’t matter given the diff. applications.
The car being faster is completly normal-Supra ECU’s need to be reset on a fairly regular basis. Run NGK 6097 spark plugs at the gap they come at. I’ve used over 100 of those spark plugs and NEVER saw one be misgapped from the factory.
Wrong. You want the gap as WIDE as you can get away with.
they come pre gapped to .028" i use them in my Gti …6097 = BKR7E
3030’s work just as well too.
