Just bought some adjustable coilover springs (sleeve type) from ProCarParts.com…and just wondering if these would fit seeing as I have a 93 240sx but it has Hicas…does having Hicas mean my rear supspension is diff from just a 240 with no HICAS?Cuz I know these fit on non-hicas 240sx…
Nope, won’t make a difference. At least the assumption I’m under.
sleeves are sleeves …they dont change your suspension just add to them …
the rear suspension is the same between HICAS and non_HICAS. the only difference is the adjustable tow links on the rear of the spindle that go to your power cylinder. and the HICAS sway bar is a beafy 21mm
Also the 240’s with hicas have a V-LSD but the non hicas no not have a LSD. So for the people without a LSD just look in the junk yards for a hicas 240 abd take the diff and swap the gears. Or if you really like to do donuts just weld the thing. It’s fun too. hehe
VLSD in only HICAS cars is a myth. I’ve pulled out VLSD’s from non-HICAS cars at the shop. The only sure-fire way to tell is get under the car and look for the orange VLSD sticker on the side of the diff case.
Thanks,
Cory.
Good to know man. Every one i pulled was a VLSD but that was prob a fluke. Thanks for the tip.
