SUV Suggestions

if I were in such a predicament where I had to comprimise buying a $35K vechicle and couldn’t buy a 2 seater I would just blow my brains out, but I think thats not what you want to do. so I would do the next best thing, and get an odessey. it won’t waste gas with usless 4wd probably weighs less than 6,000 lbs another plus for gas mileage, and unlike a domestic suv built on a crappy truck platform it would be ok to drive, and not literally fall apart while doing so

acadias are really nice, but pricey

I’m thinking I would do an Acadia over the Yukon. Lower price, better gas mileage, lighter, I would assume better handling, seems more car-like. I don’t really need to tow 8000 lb. But I’ve never paid much over invoice (if any) for any of the 6 GM vehicles that I’ve bought or helped buy.

I think we need to take a whole weekend and start test driving and comparing. The spreadsheet is going to be huge for this.

mazda cx9 just rated the best suv my automobile. or motortrend dont remember (too many car magz) car like but yet very nice and 3rd row

well if you are going new, ill pm you a number.

Chevy Tahoe Hybrid 4wd? Just took a quick peak and it says it seats 8. Doesn’t look like you can get a z71 off-road package though, if that matters. 20/20 highway city mileage I believe it said.

Chevy Tahoe Hybrid 4wd or TBSS

TBSS

nutrider!

the TBSS doesnt have the 3rd row does it?

I agree with him…

TBSS doesn’t have a third row. Are the Tahoe Hybrids out yet? Looks like there’s no pricing info yet. Gets 20/20 mpg for the 4WD - not sure that’s enough to justify the extra cost of a hybrid, but I’ll run the numbers. And I’m not looking to feel good about myself for driving a hybrid.

Don’t know if they have hit dealers yet but if they are like the Escape Hybrids that my wife and I were interested in, you may just have to order and supposedly the Escapes sell out quickly.

looks like we are gonna be selling or trailblazer soon. it has third row seating. it’s a 2005 if your interested

PM “corners” & he will give you his infomercial on the Toyota Sienna :bowrofl:

I am not into minivans, but I drive a 2006 Grand Caravan for work & it is one of the most practical vehicles that I have driven. Comfortable, seating for 7 or more, fold & go seating (all seats fold flat into the floor), and many other conveniences. It only gets about 14-15 mpg around town, though & 21-23 mpg on the highway. I am sure the Honda or Toyota vans would be easier on fuel than the Dodge. The Dodges don’t really have a great resale value, so they can be picked up cheap.

My moms old TB had a third row…we only used it when going out of town

The hybrid Tahoe doesnt start production till jan or feb

Honda minivan FTW :D:D:D
