Is the compressor wheel off a stock t25 turbo the same as the S14 T28? Exact same size and everything?
Also, the T28’s that came off the S14 sr’s were journal bearing or ball bearing?
I’ve googled the specs but every other site I’ve gone to says the opposite of each other.
up to a certain spec of s14, the sr20det had the journal, and somewhere along the line they became ball bearing.
So to answer your question, they were both journal and ball bearing. Look at stampings to figure out which it is.
How can you tell the diff?
according to that, it was pretty rare for them to be ball bearing.
Under the assumption that aussie stuff is the same as what we got.

According to that, the JDM ones can be bb.
So auspec S14/15 = None BB T28. JDM = of course.
