I once had an employee that just could/would not understand/admit that it was simple math, the more my expenses increase the more his beneifts would decrease.

Tax cuts like Bush & congress have been giving out can’t be sustained long term. period. It’s putting us so far into the red as a nation our grandkids will still be paying for the Iraq war. Finally after almost 8 years of running this country into the ground people are waking up to Bush’s village idiot economics, the dollar is tanking, inflation is hitting, and the economy is going to the shitter. But the rich have gotten richer, and the poor are getting poorer, and I guess that’s good news for Bush & Co.

There’s only so much spending you can cut. If the government didn’t spend any money, the economy would suck.

Unfortunately there is some truth to that because the government has now created generations of people that don’t feel the need to contribute.
100+ years ago less spending worked fabulously but, that is when people needed to work.

I was referring to if you put all teachers, police, firemen, construction workers, military personnel, rocket scientists at nasa, local government employees, etc. out of work, and stopped the government from buying trillions of dollars worth of crap a year, the results would not be good. For the economy or otherwise.

Hmm, private schools. The ones where parents pay college-like tuitions, yet teachers make dick. Yeah, those are great. Most private school teachers are entry-level out of college, putting their time in until they can get a real job in a public system.
