Technical Questions aka "Danger To Manifold Pt II"

Currently working on an air-water I/C setup for my soon to be compound turboed D15 Civic DX.

Couple basic noob questions:

  1. Do you think some Samco hoses and zip ties will hold the boost?

  2. Can the D15 spool the turbo at a lowish (2000?) RPM, or might it be a little oversized?

  3. For LVD runs I plan to ice down the I/C but don’t know if Stewart’s carries enough of it for my piece. What’s the feel on this?

  4. Given the I/C setup and proximity to the turbo, there shouldn’t be much of a pressure drop if those hoses hold. Thoughts?

Oh, and the setup of the 1st stage (2nd stage is coming when else… Next Spring!)

You need nos to spool it at lower rpms.

first I think you need to repair the blow out in the IC Core under the 2nd Stage Inlet.

should be fine with zip ties

Yeah I felt those clamps were more for show anyways and could use the cost savings.

Ive got 3 or 4 clamps in that size if for whatever reason you don’t go with zipties

Call JVG. he has Wiggins Clamps that size if you want them.
