I have 2 jdm clusters for my 89 240sx with an sr20det. Iv tried both of them and neither of the temp gauges work. Anybody know a site where i can go to research this problem or anybody had this same problem and know what i can try to fix this.

A lot of times you will need to ground the sensor location in order to get a proper reading. This is especially true for coolant temp sensors in rad hoses.
the gauge doesnt work at all.
the temp sensor for your cluster is one wire. Look in the FSM. It will say what wire and what ohms and how to fix.
