Terminator Powered Factory Five Cobra

Hey guys, figured I would share with you one of the projects we have down at the shop. It is a Factory Five MK3 kit car with an 03/04 Cobra motor, T56 and Ford 8.8 straight axle (from a certain roll-racing blue Mustang R.I.P.) Anyways, we’ve got it fired and running, just finishing up wiring and other small stuff… Check it out.

You work for Jay now Dan?

F5’s are fun machines, I rode in that guy with the 550hp blue/silver one that shows up at the Falconi SCR autocrosses. Stupid fun with all sorts of cool noises.

ninja edit: WTF made me think of Sean? Sorry 'bout that.

I think you mean Dan

very cool project.

seen a couple at the vintage gran prix. I loved them. What do they weigh when there complete?

So what you’re trying to say is that dreams can come true?

2200-2500 lbs from what I understand.

Intake, full exhaust, smaller pulleys and a predator tune and a full weight cobra runs low 11’s. So with minor mods on that car that should be a mid 10 car . The curb weight on a cobra is around 3700 lbs i believe. Thats a huge weight difference.

Saw a cobra kit car with terminator swap up at the Norwin hills car cruise earlier in the year… sick swap.

Yeah it sounds amazing, gotta get the driveshaft lengthened a bit which is only thing causing us not to drive it out of the shop on it’s own power.

We’re estimating between 2200-2500 lbs. as well, I’m sure we’ll get it weighed somewhere once it’s in full body and everything else.

Yeah I’ve been down here for a few months now maintaining the office/website/advertising and such.

at 2400lbs with driver the 240 went 11.0@128 with a cammed 6 litre

that little F5 car is going to be insane!!!

He wants to pulley it too… We’re trying to tell him this ain’t gonna be your every day sports car.

let the owner do as he wishes its his money, let him deal with the after effects. think if he wrecks it or etc thats more money to yoru shop to repair it

win win situation, win to do pulley work win to rebuild it

why stop there? Get him to get a Whipple for it

We’re going to ease him into it once he gets used to the car, then it will get a pulley.

We don’t do collision!

We’re already going with a 315 ET Street and we’re gonna see how traction is. With a Whipple it would be like when you had a big wheel as a kid with the plastic tire and you couldn’t go anywhere.

badass

Heres a turb buick powered cobra

Good luck, that thing aint gonna hook  mostly stock motor will have a chance but with a pulley and/or whipple and closer to 500-600whp, its gonna be just like that big wheel

Sick ride tho

That is Bill Adams car. 400whp completely stock Terminator (gayest name) motor. Bill isn’t a drag racing guy, he built that car to drive & enjoy. I’d be interested in how it would run in the 1/4. I do believe he had it a BeaverRun once, though.

i know with a F5 with the 5litre in it they used to rate them at high 11s with stock motor
