test fitting of skits

well here are a few pics of the skirts being test fitted on the truck. i have about 2 hours just into trimming out for the side exhaust. skirts lined up pretty well with just minor grinding here and there. hopefully in the next few days ill be able to cut and test fit/form my flares to the skirts. the plan was to have an oversized Xtreme with lightning style exhaust

yes i know you guys will rice but who cares. the skirts hide the frame so its only as low as the frame is nowhttp://www.streetnstrip.org/forums/attachment.php?attachmentid=1676 http://www.streetnstrip.org/forums/attachment.php?attachmentid=1677 http://www.streetnstrip.org/forums/attachment.php?attachmentid=1678 http://www.streetnstrip.org/forums/attachment.php?attachmentid=1679

this is the normal height of the truck

heres a few pics of the flares on it. i have about 2 hours into triming rear flare to fit and about 30 minutes into front flare.

also is the pic of a pop bottle to give you an idea of how low this truck is on the sides. its a 20oz.

thanks to brian for giving me a set of flare to test fit. i just feel bad that they were kinda good.

wouldn’t that be like adding a body kit and ricing out a vehicle :kekegay:

 looks good

or like carbon fiber on a jap sports bike

thanks, something i wanted to do since getting truck but funds were never there and then over time they appreard. got the skirts for a good price last winter. had the air dam on htere but never painted. old one didnt last long being dropped. solid fiberglass isnt best idea for a lowerd truck. so this one is a hard plastic. skirts are urethene and fit very well. just be good to have truck all painted again.

I agree 100% urethane is the way to go on stuff like skirts and such especially when living in a fluxuating climate like the burg, and you are going to drive the vehicle year round.

Fiberglass gets too brittle in extreme cold and cracks easy. The kid who bought my car is learning that the hard way with the hood I had on there. I never took it out in this type of weather and it was garage kept all year, thats why it held up for me hood wise.

it’s not over-the-top so I dig it. Are you leaving it black?

no, its going white to match the truck. its just test fitted now and will be ocming off probably tonight or in next few days to get painted. then once all that is done then the stripes go on

looks pretty sick

you need some dubs

yes yes working on them. trying to get some SS wheels

def. looks good. :bigthumb:

thanks, hopefully in paint this week and striped by the weekend

looks good, makes the truck look cleaner!
