Texas Entrepreneur Set to Start Building DeLorean Cars

I would buy one for $42,000

if it had 1000 hp.

Interesting. I’m not sure what kind of market there is for new/rebuilt Deloreans but goodluck to them.

Unfortunately, DeLorean simply couldn’t sell enough of the cars to sustain the business. The company folded in 1983, a year after DeLorean was busted in a drug trafficking sting and accused of conspiring to sell $24 million worth of cocaine to salvage the venture. He used an entrapment defense to win acquittal, but legal entanglements plagued him for years to come. He died in 2005 at age 80.

ballin

looks interesting, i wouldn’t mind owning a Delorean.

:picard:

^^first time i’ve used that.

some things should stay dead,lol.

what a collosal waste of time. A new Delorean will cost $57,000. A cough refurbish of YOUR Delorean costs $42,000

A fool and his money are soon parted.

the rebirth of slow.

Interesting concept, but should have been done in a different manner. Mainly that of missing the point of what the car was meant to be in the first place.

I hate those cars.

For $57,000 it better include the Mr. Fusion and Flux Capacitor.

or atleast be able to hit 88mph in less than 20 secs  Why would anyone wanna pay that much when you can buy an original low mileage near mint delorean for around the 25k range.

how many high end fridges do you need to skin to make one of those?

my boss has one, its looks kinda cool, but under closer inspection, its really stupid and shitty
