the 442 at UMM3...."Son of Hairy"

I have finally finished the 442 Vid with footage from UMM3…
425ci - 4 wheel drive - 2 engines
PB of 13.81 at just over 98 mph with 1.9s 60 foot times
and this was on a 90* day with close to 60% humidity!
3100 V6 in the front and a 3800 V6 in the back
both factory stock except for porting work and some of my own trans mods

she is our modern version of the original Hurst “Hairy” Olds 442 that had TWO blown 425 ci V8’s and could roast the tires the whole way down the track!

here it is…its much cleaner than this…putfile must be compressing it…

whatcha think?

only 13.8’s??? i guess because they are stock motors… nice fab work.

looking good

I woul have no idea where to start on something like that

as a member of the H/OCA i’m what u call a shareholder, we as a club bought hairy off a private owner for $1 and loaned it to the R.E. Olds museum for display. Hairy was very hard to control because the two drive lines were idependent of eachother the car wanted to rip itself apart.

she sure dont seem to be wanting to do that…just pulls like a raped ape…

13.81 at just ove 98 mph on a 90* 60%humidity day with two basically stock engines…both recieving port matching and polishing along with me backcuting the valves…the front 3100 has the biggest mod which was a pair of 96+roller rocker 3100 heads…

But now i have a L27 3800 from a regal (another W body) that we will be throwung into her this winter along with the SI/SII 3800 hybrid/turbocharging of the rear engine…

she should give whole new meaning to the term Tq steer!

I did a higher quality music video…came out much nicer!

a higher res music video version, much better…

representing the W bodies!
