lol, I hatede those…I ran those Trog caged way back…filed to make them sharper too. What a fucking stupid idea…even with the early Hammer pads my shins looked like lunchmeat
I snapped the cages on those black widows within weeks. Then I picked up GT platforms. The sheer impact of platforms hurt just as bad.
LOL I remember the $15 oddessy shark bite pedals that I had to buy when the cages came off those seemed to come off even quicker
haha. that p61 im riding in those pics had the purple black widow pedals. i saved up for those and got the purple pedals to match my purple T1000s. i actually liked those pedals. Shark bites were really heavy for caged pedals werent they? i think i had a set on my old XS3
Shark bites, that a blast from way back. Those fucking things lasted one day at the trails before pieces of the cages were hanging off.
That was roughly the time I discovered the Shimano platforms…it was like an epiphany. I’ve never been off platforms since…
ya those shark bites got trashed at the trails. a good set of platforms are great. i have those and Tenderizors on my current Pro Series. they are pretty decent also, never had any complaints.
