if you like it, and willing to pay for it, than buy it, i think it looks real nice frmo the outside, REALLY nice
Car looks beautiful in my opinion…
BUT, be EXTRA careful when checking the frame. Those strut towers in the engine bay look ultra clean, but they’ve been painted over… notice how there’s no little hole where little rubber stoppers should be in a stock 240sx.
If it really is as clean as it looks… go for it. Try to bargain though, take it as far down as you can 8)
Car looks very clean, but I think its overpriced for what it is, I’m going to have to agree with your 8k give or take a bit offer.
guys thanks alot for the advice i really appreciate it. i will take a close look at it when im checking the frame…good point about the rubber strip  . well i think im gonna go for it and im gonna try to haggle him a bit. and trust me guys the pics dont do the car any justice at all. .
heres another pic i forgot to putr up nothjing big though.
Am I the only dissapointed that when I clicked on a thread titled “the car i wanna buy” I saw a 240?
i can see that car fetching $10k if the undercarriage is really sharp.
if you are a bandwagon fun-boy that is a great car to get, you dont have to do anything else to it.
if you want a serious car that will be better in the long run to drive and not be soo heat in then you would be better off buying Cal’s coupe.
personally, i’d rather have cal’s coupe because it would cost thousands of dolalrs to undo all the things that went wrong on that sil80… namely the paint and wheels…
also, stock sr’s are no better than a healthy KA with proper bolt-ons…
well thats kinda the thing i want car that has had mninor work done so that i van pretty much have some fun and step the power and the car when im ready for it. cals car is really nice i think it looks really good and it has lots of nice mods. i would agree with u on the rims but i dont think the paint job is bad. im goona take a look at the undercarraieg on monday he told me that he went through it and undercoated all of it. thanks for the input.
Undercoating can be good and bad… it’s very easy to hide rust with it. Beware if it looks too fresh… bring a small hammer or something with you and tap the frame rails.
How can you build that car for 8Gs? I paid 4 for mine…
For me to get an SR it would cost 4Gs. TO get it resprayed it would be 2Gs. For the front end it would be 1G. Wheels with tires, 1G. And this is all minimum pricing.
That right there is at least 12 000. If you think I got ripped off well then say take anotehr 1000 off, still 11.
I love the paint on it BTW.
Uh… Helloooooo… you have a coupe???
That is why you couldn’t do it for 8 g’s… clean coupe = 4-5 g’s… clean hatch = 2-3 g’s.
semi clean hatch(2g’s) + sil front(1g) + sr(2.5g) + misc basic shite (1.5g if you are serious) = 7 g’s + budgit rims and pait(1 g) = 8 g’s
bulbi:
You want to have a nice personalized car (as much as you can have a personalized 240 these days), build it yourself… there are clean chasis out there… I just bought one for one thousand six hundred and fifty dollars. AND it s a LE coupe… just be patient and you will find exactly what you are looking for… build it up, sell it for profit, then buy something jdm like everybody else is doing.

My aplogies, I didn’t even realize it was a hatch
word. after 6+ months of searching i found a clean S13, and i got mine for $900. if ur patient they will come and then u can customize it to ur exact specifications and how you want it. i personally think your better off building you own car unless you can get him down to roughly 8k. but if its what you want by all means buy it, just i think its overpriced. good luck
i’d say pass.
For 12000 i’d expect a completely done car, an s14 at that. Since the car is a respray, you have NO idea wht it looked like before, how much bondo is on it etc. I built the EXact SAME CAR, without paint, with coilovers, volk wheels, adjustable 4-link, and a KA for 5000 including purchase price of the car and the cost to fix the rusted body.
You can get the same car imported from japan, with many man many more mods for 7-10000$
And then there are the skylines, for 15-18000$ you can pick yourself up a decent gtr, and for 6-12000$ you can pic yourself up a nice Gtst, i know of a few here in canada for sale privately. One out in BC for 12 that it one fine peice of work.

dude… that car used to be red… look at the poor job they did respraying the firewall…
and like poeple said there used to be a small hole beside the strut mount… usually those places are rusted…
I caught that too.
they didn’t take everthing out of the engine bay when painting it.
tough call on pricing, but judging by the pics ill offer around 10k.
yeah i caugjht the red in the background peeking out too…lol…when i saw that i was like wow nice job. i must say that after getting so many suggestions i have kinda stepped back and wieghed my options. i still love the car and still leaningn towards getting it but with a little more insight from u guys i can feel assured and safe saying that he wants too much. i was just not sure wat sale values for the car would be like. i still have to meet with him tomorrow and i will definately bring my tap tester hammer. but ill be sure to slowly inspect it and ensure its done properly. i was thinking about offering 10k .
man those skylines are pretty sexy i woulddefinately take a look at thjose for the same price range thanks for highlighting them.
also id be wondering why it isnt plated? emissions can be passed if you try hard enough so there may be something deeper. i might be a paranoid person but its something i would definatly check out if i was spending that much money.
