Oct 4th iPhone 5 (rumored)
I’m really surprised how little info has come out about the iphone 5. I’m guessing that means there isn’t going to be a huge difference between it and the 4. Little bit bigger screen, little bit better camera etc. Since I haven’t found an app yet that stresses my 4’s memory or processor I’m not sure how upgrading those does anything for me.
The new iPhone is rumored to have the dual core A5 processor, the same one that’s in the iPad.
Does anyone know of an app though, lol.
^^ Need to jailbreak. AppStore apps cant change of alter the functionality of the standard apps so you will always have the Photos application.

I have a 3GS, I don’t seem to have the edit button in my albums.
Are you running ancient firmware or something? I’m not sure when that feature was implemented, but its been around a while.
You can’t password protect individual albums. Best bet is to password protect at the lock screen if you have something to hide. There are apps that do this, IIRC, but its not going to be in the native pictures app.
My phone has iOS5 but I thought that feature was on 4.3?
If you want to password protect the photos app itself, look up Lockdown on the Cydia store. It will ask for a password when running programs like the Photos app.
Current iOS version is 4.3.5 for the iPhone 3GS…make sure you’re running it.
Last time I tried to update my phone it had a pretty old OS and was basically going to jump a few updates, just tried to update it like 1month ago and it froze at like 90% complete… after waiting for like an hour I unplugged it and it tried to restore and I don’t even know if it ended up doing that properly, but It works now and it has a few new things like the Personal Hot Spot for tethering. hmm, I thought maybe it did update. It says Version 4.3.5 (8L1)
