Best IPhone compeditor?

so I’m sick of cricket and was going to go with at&t and an iphone this afternoon since this month is up for cricket… but after hearing some bad shit about the service, I’m going with someone else.

I want something comparable to the iphone… can take decent pictures, browse the web (not the stupid mobile web), transfer data, send/recieve email/aim/text messages, ect, ect.

not too worried on price of the phone… just want a good service provider to go along with it.

thanks
steve

Verizon IMO, Moto Q, Blackberry 8830, stay away from the xv6700. If you want more of a PDA than a phone, go with the Q. If you want more of a phone than a PDA then get a 8830.

The moto Q does not even compare to the Iphone

deffinitly want more of a PDA/pocketpc than a phone… although would like to keep the price under 4-500

edit: and I’m NOT in IT so i’d be using it for personal use… not buisness

WTF, why stay away from the 6700? I friggin love this phone.

and um…

How long have you had that phone, if it is more than a month, and you are still saying it is great you are retarded.

It was by far the shittiest “PHONE” I ever had, it was so quiet even with the volume turned all the way up I could not talk on it while driving what so ever, the battery lasts less than 8 hours with minimal usage. We used them at work and EVERYONE ditched them because they sucked balls.

It’s a decent PDA, that is about it, as a phone forget about it.

edit: to prove my point I would almost consider letting him borrow mine and activating it to see how shitty it is, almost guarantee he would want to ditch it and spend the $200 on the Q in comparison. Another point of difference between the Q and 6700… uhhh the 6700 is a fucking brick, it is huge and heavy.

Depends what you want it for… if you have an exchange server for work, the Q is better for mobile office use. I don’t disagree, the iPhone is by far the hottest for a non-business application, but at&t’s network especially the data network sucks hard. Even worse the iPhone uses EDGE, not 3G.

I’d love to rock an iPhone, if it comes out on verizon or sprint, with EVDO.

A year now. You’re deaf. I charge my phone every 3 days, and I talk the shit out of it. Ditching a phone because the consensus was “it sucks balls” is retarded. :poke:

the 6700 is garbage. I went through 6 of them in under a year. None of which was my fault. They all stopped working after a few months.

so is the consensus the Motorola Q?

oh, and can the Q handle something like google video/break.com/ect?

edit: the Q is garbege, it “can” handle that shit, but it would rather not.

lol… schema you have no clue… sorry.

try another phone, maybe it is the only phone you’ve ever owned so you have no basis for comparison?

Doop dee doo. If you want a pissing match I’ll play, I’m at work all day. I gave my opinion, the thread wasn’t titled " Ask a Chino". I worked for Verizon for some time, gone through a hundred phones ( they tend to hit brick walls, shrug). I HAVE had nothing but good experiences with this phone, not to mention I paid $180 on eBay for it used. The 6700 was actually made by a PDA company, not the other way around. With any little problems that it may have, which thus far you’ve only said “it just sucks” is totally worth the resolution time of fixing, which surmounts to taking it to verizon and getting it reflashed, for free.

chck yr spllng n ttl

im staying out of this, all i want to do is :picard:

The GPhone

man, I’d love to get a G-Phone… but I’m looking for one currently in production at the moment.

however, once it’s released, they’ll sell like hotcakes IMO

I have a palm treo through sprint that I’m pretty happy with, it does everything you said. The only software I purchased was a $10 IM app called mundu.

Browser isn’t as good as the iphone, but I haven’t tried any other browser apps.

so it supports 3rd party apps? so opera mobile/something similar could be used on one?

oh, and you can access online media with it? (youtube/google video/ect)
