Yea I downloaded it…However I don’t plan to install it if the new IOS is coming out legit in a week lol
I’ve been running beta builds of iOS 5 for a while now. The GM appears to be perfectly fine for the average user. I’ve had no problems with it at all.
You do need a beta iTunes build to install it and use the WiFi sync and iTunes Match.
I have been using the Beta builds. They are pretty stable after the first one. I love over the air updates and Wifi syncing. The only thing I wish was if you have notifications, you would have a status bar icon like on android.
Hopefully the new os will allow me to make photo albums like the current one should…gotta hide some pics still
Pre-ordered my 4S this morning. Much needed upgrade from my 3g that only works when it wants too.
The 5.0 update next week will allow you to make albums. You will need a jailbreak to actually password lock or swap your photo gallery

I like how they finally decided to remove the need for a computer. You can backup/restore from the cloud, update the OS on the device, do initial setup without a computer, even change settings on your Airport Extreme router with a new app.
You finally can get an iPad/iPhone without even needing to own a computer. Surprisingly enough, I know a few people who this helps.
Just waiting for the untethered jailbreak, which should be available soon.

The over the air and not needing a laptop is huge. Yes, Apple is removing the need for people to own a laptop but I too know a few people who don’t have a PC and who want to use a iPad and iPhone and that is it.
I have 1 white and 1 black 32 GB left. Otherwise I’m sold out till I get my next allotment.
I do have a couple of the 8gb 4’s left in both colors.

Hoping for an ios5 untethered jailbreak this week.
^^ Ya I am not sure what the hold up is. It has been ready since the GM release and I assumed it would be sooner since the public release is the same as the GM.
Ill be switching to Verizon today, so sick of not having signal… I really hope it’s not the phone though, as in I’ll get a new iPhone from Verizon.
Anyone have an idea on what Itunes error 7 means? Did an update the day before my 4s came in the mail. Itunes worked fine all night after the update. Got home from work to setup the phone and now itunes wont even open but instead gives an error that states itunes was not setup correctly or is not compatible with windows? Read the tech info on apple.com and downloaded the .net programs that they think is the fix but nothing seems to work.
Uninstalled and reinstalled itunes as well with no luck. It’s no big deal as the phone is good to go for use but would be great to get my music back on the phone.
