My question, why if they kidnapped the chick, did they have him transport her around? The movie literally had a plot that reverted on itself to having… you guessed it… no plot. The storyline wasnt even plausible.
Yeah, it is amusing how you never understand why transporting her was necessary, as well as why the decided to have her transported by a third party…I mean they were able to drive a bus full of electronics and armed thugs from point A to point B with no issues…why not bring the bitch along, though we could do this all day, almost every movie has that one thing that would break the movie
Yeah, but the transporter series, seriously lame. I hate to say it because I love the first, and the concept, but #2 and #3… :hang:
Idk, first was obviously the best, simply because it had class, two was overly flashy and ridiculous, but entertaining in an “I wanna see shit get blown up” sorta way, three was in the middle, though too close to the second over the third, but hey improvement is improvement
^
does he still drive around smashing into obstructions and doing building to building jumps without w/o so much as a scratch appearing on the car?
Even better- he jumps it off a bridge into a river, sinks to the bottom while breathing through giant duffel bags filled with tire air to give the impression he’s dead, uses said giant duffel bags inflated with the air from the tires to bring it afloat and ashore, starts er up and chases down the baddies!
Audi ftw?
Punisher-Warzone 9/10
My rating is based on the princible of how the movie was done in context of the character. I’m not a HUGE comic buff, but I actively research so I have alot of basic background on alot of characters. People seem to be complaining about this movie because “it doesn’t have a complex plot” or “the acting from so n so is not their best”. Lets put it this way:
Does this look like a character who is meant to be very complex? NO!!!
This movie was made to be about him straight up kicking ass, which is done to the fullest extent, and much better than the last 2 created. They say this may even rival Rambo-First blood kill count of like 237. But then again, any movie where a guy can cave someones face in with a punch, or shoot a rastafarian parkour expert out of the air with a rocket will always get high marks from me.
“The day the Earth Stood Still”
TERRIBLE. What sucks is that the movie had good actors (besides Keanu Reeves) and had a fantastic storyline, but was terribly executed and corny as fuck. I can’t tell you how many times I :picard:'ed during this movie. UGH.
2/10
SWINGERS - vince vaughn at his best 8.5/10
See, I actually thought the movie was pretty good. The acting was bad, and I hate when kids have big roles in most movies, but the concept of it was pretty sweet.
Movies like ‘burn after reading’ and ‘Transporter’ should get the 1/10 or 2/10 ratings, but this movie should get at least a 5/10.
Just my opinion, I guess.
^I really disliked the black kid, and the ending was not what it should have been.
It was one of the few movies that could have been a bit longer to help the story develop more, I thought. I guess they cut out a lot of the preachy parts that the original movie from the 50’s had in it.
Gran Torino
6/10
Would be a 4 if not for Clint Eastwood.
Word! That kid was terrible i really wish he got eaten by the bugs.
way to ruin it
At 2/10 it sounds ruined from the start. :mamoru:
With all of these being subjective, you have to take them with a grain of salt. Fuck, I’m sure more than half of the members who have posted in this thread would give Wedding Crashers a 9/10. That movie was fucking horrible.
omg 10/10 !!!
lol fggt
idk, I bet with a better director this movie would have been 10x better. The acting was ok, it was the flow that fucked everything up and in turn made the actors look worse. Like I said, I LOVED the storyline, but some of the shit that got put in was retarded.
When they hitchhiked and the people in the truck yelled “END OF THE WORLD WOOO! GOOD LUCK” I wanted to walk out.
The day the Earth Stood Still
7/10
Obviously based on the original but slightly different, so it was limited in how the story could be told. Klaatu was played well by Reeves in a role that an actor of his very limited ability could play well, it really doesn’t matter who is cast as Klaatu because he’s a character without much emotion. Jaden Smith was excellent, he has skills.
When I went to see it I was afraid it was going to be turned into the type of action movie Hollywood has been mass producing for years now, all action, no substance but I was surprised, it was very well done but was a little too preachy. The original movie was about nuclear war destroying the planet, this one was about the environment being destroyed, how convenient. I mean, if the aliens really wanted to save our planet all they have to do is provide a little help in our energy production technology, there, problem solved.
