Eagle Eye, easily 9/10, Shia Labeouf(or however the fuck you spell it) is seriously pulling a DiCaprio and clawing his way out of the pit of trend actors into the realm of legit good ones, he’s still got aways to go, and they need to stop casting him for roles he looks too young to play, but he’s definitelygetting there.
oh and +1 to Billy Bob Thornton and Eva Mendez doing a great job at being clueless cops
Waking Ned Devine… Was randomly on Hulu and decided to start watching it, not expecting to watch much. Was a really good movie, good humor, and makes you feel good about yourself…
For me, a 10/10 is award winning, 9/10 means I would buy the DVD even though I could get it for free, 8 and lower is how entertained I am, honestly i’m not that tough on movies
I LOVED this flick… Eastwood did an outstanding job. His charactor was very believable and his relationship with his neighbors was not only interesting, but very funny. Its the only movie I’ve seen in quite some time where I wanted the story to keep going. I can’t say enough good things about this movie
I downloaded the DVD and watched it the other night.
As much as I love Will Smith, I had the plot figured out in the first 15 minutes or so, making it kind of drag on. A lot of people claimed to be teary eyed during it, but I dunno just didn’t do it for me.
One of the most intense movies I’ve seen in a LONG time. The way Liam Neeson’s character deals with his daughter’s kidnappers makes Jack Bauer look like he works for Amnesty International.
The only reason it looses a point and a half is because other than Eastwood, the acting was fucking atrocious. Scenes that revolved around Eastwood were outstanding. As soon as you threw any given asian actor, it got annoying. It did have me laughing quite a few times though. (The movie, not the acting).
I lol’d through Gran Torino so hard I missed some of the lines (which is probably for the best considering the acting as you already stated). My only complaint would be a spoiler and has to do with Eastwood.
