I have no problems with 1.8ts i was just wondering what category that falls in (and technically i drive a acura :lol)

1.8t’s are euro. euro euro euro! don’t hate on 1.8t’s. my boy’s 3076r just put down 415 whp on 23 psi on 93 octane. all he had was a passat head, intake mani, 3076r, 630’s, unitronics sw. as for motor work… just a set of drop in rods. the car made practically 500 whp on 110 on a “small 3076R”

i dont think anyone was hatin on them especially not me, but those are some sick numbers im savin my money so hopefully this summer (not sayin just hopin) i can get a decent build on my car i only want to be in the 350range and still have a decent curve

I.M.O I liked the exit 11 place because people were more lay-ed back and the cars were better quality . at Kohl’s people were always racing around the parking lot :runaway not a safe place if i wanted to bring my daughter or even my car lol when its done . If the lot is in Clifton park so what if the amsterecans or what ever you call them wont drive out there only the true car guys will show.

oh, since you only have an intake… i’d get a chip, exhaust, TIP, and you have a pretty fast car. i’m almost positive you will be satified with those results… have you ever even been in fully bolt-ed on 1.8t?

my 1.8t is the only one ive ever been in, i hear i can make close to 300 with full exhaust, chip and all the other fun bolt ons, i like the route you took with the ko4 thats one of the routes ive been lookin into cuz id make more power and because its not giant its still relatively small id have a great range and with some tuning i could probably get close to the 350 mark. oh and 350 is still a lot i know and i know im gona run into some problems and im gonna have to do some work on the internals, if you want to talk more about the 1.8t’s message me cuz i dont know a whole lot about tuning them

a bolt on k03 will make nowhere near 300 unless, its got w/m and nitrous.

im me at dizler628 if you want to make some quick power for reativley cheap

Yeah I would like to see a 1.8t with close to 300 hp on a stock turbo without nos. If you can do that I suggest you get a patent on something.

yea, listen to this guy. from what i remember this car has a few bolt-ons. im sure if you asked you could probably get a ride in it mr v-dub20v

I’ll be sure to ask haha, and i didnt say 350 at the wheels 350 at the crank maybe i dont want to go full custom kit cuz thats crazy money and i lose all chances of reliability, now 300 on stock k03s is definitly doable you take 180hp from the factory, the c.a.i clams 12hp so i’ll round it to 10 so were at 190(speculating), now i go full turbo back exhaust with hi-flow cat, 200(still speculation) now chips claim 55whp more so now were at 255 close to 260, a f.m.i.c would cool down the air from the turbo and since the boost is electronically controled im assuming that it would turn it up slightly to compensate for the air being less compressed from cooling, now if i could find cams, i might be able to make 280(complete speculation but these are pretty conservative numbers do please dont hate to much) now if i went to the k04 from there along with bigger injectors, new fuel pump, new intake manifold and obviously the new exhaust manifold obviously i think i might be pretty close to 350 peak and still have a great range. Correct me if im wrong in any of these assumptions, id make a project thread but i dont know when im gonna have all the money i need so…yeah until then

about 210whp and 260-280 wtq. it all hits you once then at 5k it falls flat on its face.

k04s put down around 230-250 max and around 300 tq. but, my k04 puts down a tad bit more
do some research.

Dude…all those numbers that companies give you are to the crank. There is no way an intake can give you 12-15 whp. Read up on Vortex, Elitedubs and other VW forums…most people with basic Big Turbo GT28 or GT2871 are putting down 325-350. Thats without doing internals and crazy stuff. Thats just bolt ons, big turbo, and software. Most k04 kits are putting 225-250 to the wheels. You might want to check it and read some more into it.
