rwd, winter tires, and i drive up mountains all the time for snowboarding and have used both an fd3s and na miata as my snowboarding cars.
i would never drive anything with out winter tires, fwd, rwd, awd. they are the biggest factor in being awesome in the snow, not where the power is going to.
