Nah Id still laugh!
you’re just mad that you’d have to put a sunroof in to drive it…
i see truth in that!
Neat, a friend had a swift GTi and it was quite fun to drive.
I’m gonna guess a 16.0 @ 85 if it’s going to stay stock such as it is.
yeah, i was guessing probably about a hair under 16 seconds when everything is sorted out.
Put a t3 on there and Push 32psi!!!
GNX? thats a t-type/GN engine. Besides, most people i know are way past GNX specs.
No offense but if the metro beat my SS i would put a sicker on my car that indicates my loss to a metro and i would leave it there till i could beat the metro.
We definately need to have the Metro VS Monte showdown.
x2
jk. good job SHaler
the monte will waste that car. its less than twice the power but more than twice the weight and will still win. I don’t wanna have to smoke him like the Slow Camaro.
the metro- 100 hp - 1600 lbs
the monte 180 hp- 3700 lbs
torque>*
1984 through 1988:
180 HP @ 4800 RPM (flywheel)
225 ft/lbs @ 3200 RPM
All horsepower (HP) readings are S.A.E. Net, measured at the flywheel of the engine, as installed, with a complete exhaust system and all accessories attached. This figure is measured on an engine dyno. It is not the horsepower at the rear wheels.
He already has 3 hp per pound advantage. My guess is it would be close if the monte is stock. My Dad has an 87 SS so I have driven both. I guess we will have to find out who wins. But the big thing with this car is handling, very light and nimble. I was talking to somone about these cars in AutoX and they are a desirable car to use for the stated reason. Don’t really know how they would fare in the straight line but my guess is not too shabby for a stocker. But it sounds like a race :hsdance:
i take winner with my truck
I got 5 on the metro!!
15.3 with a performer intake and 600 cfm carb and no posi. take out the 100k plus wear and tear and its still about 180hp.
