I agree with others about dropping it a little but maybe just the front to give you some rake and so you don’t have to dick around with the pinion angle in the rear.

I’m running drag bags in the rear that actually lifted the car a bit but got rid of my wheel hop issues. I’m starting to think about a slight drop in the front.

No idea who Tom is but the fastest STi in the area in terms of trap is jays05 and I haven’t seen anything close. It depends what you mean by “slouch”. To me, 120MPH is where it starts to get fun.

Tom has trapped 111 in a stock STI with exhaust…not too bad i would say, seeing how Jays built car went 118-120

That’s like saying my 6XXAWHP car went LOW 11X at the track but it didn’t because it didn’t make 6XXAWHP on that run (Take passes at low boost to datalog). In the same regard, Jay’s car never came close to touching it’s limitation so comparing really isn’t fair. Hell, what if Jay’s built car made a pass at WG and went 111?

5MPH is ALOT of trap. Here’s a solid WS6 that I raced that trapped 112 with MT/CAMS/I/EXHAUST/HEADERS/etc… Do you have similiar mods?

EVERY car is different…you and I both know this…no argument there

I have Seen cammed LS1 that run slow as balls to what they are supposed too…if they arent tuned right for it, have supporting mods etc. It all plays an effect on them…a very light cam too sometimes doesnt do much…some people say they are “cammed” but really they just put in a z06 cam etc…which in the end doesnt give them THAT much more power over stock

I have read/seen cammed only Bolt on ss’s/ws6’s run 11’s near 120mph traps…and others, run mid 12’s @ 110-114…

same thing goes for bolt on’s…Bolt on ls1’s I/H/E/ rubber usually trap around 108-112

there was a kid i was talking too down at the lot a few weekends ago when i first got my car that ran a 12.7 @ 110 with just I/H/E and drag radials.

In reality, it SHOULD be a good race…could go either way…right now I have a mysterious misfire that wont go away on cylinder 5. Its going back to the dealership tomarrow to get fixed.

My mods are the following…

Stage 2 clutch
Spohn torque arm
BMR lower control arms
Hooker long tube headers
SLP intake/k&n filter
Pacesetter 3" Catless Y pipe
SLP catback exhaust
Ported/polished Throttle body
Slight tune…did some tuning the other day…ended up advancing some timing with No knock.
