The next trillion dollar bailout

www.recovery.gov

 I love it… no details until AFTER it passes

Umm there aren’t any details on where the money has been spent SINCE IT HASN’T BEEN PASSED AND AS A RESULT NO MONEY HAS BEEN SPENT YET.

:banghead::banghead::banghead::banghead::banghead:

so NOTHING is drafted yet? Why not just update it after it passes? oh yeah… thats right…

The system is for tracking the spending not listing the details of the bill.

OMG look a link to the WHOLE FUCKING BILL: http://appropriations.house.gov/pdf/RecoveryBill01-15-09.pdf

AND A SUMMARY: http://www.obey.house.gov/images/stories/pdf/summary%20of%20the%20american%20recovery%20%26%20reinvestment%20bill.pdf.pdf

Yeah no details available

Stop being a lazy loudmouth fucking troll without researching

THIS TOOK ME 2 MINUTES TO FIND.

That’s a tall order!
It’s much easier to hyper inflate, running the debt and the USD out of existence. LOL

Banks giving dual income households making (probably) about $175 jointly with 800 credit scores looking for $120k re-fi isn’t the problem. Banks not being able/willing to renew companies $200 million LOCs is.

I beg to differ but it’s ok, continue talking shit on something you know very little about.

I take it you’re a state employee?

MY BAD for assuming a website called recovery.gov would have details of the package up front

So what is your plan again to put people back to work?

I have heard nothing but complaints about this plan without any other choice in the matter.

The republican knew the Dems were making a stimulus package why didn’t they follow suit with their own plan? I thought the dems were supposed to be the party of complainers with no plan.

Wheres the Republican leadership?

I know you have absolutely no faith in a Democratically controlled government but you better get used to living under one because if the Republicans become nothing more than a irrelevant murmur in the back of congress you might as well pack your bags and leave.

Seriously, start writing your fellow republicans in Washington to make their own plan and give the American people a choice for what they might think would be the best.

Just so you know, if this works the Republicans are fucked.

Joe, you greatly overestimate what I’m making. Actually, it’s the wife that’s killing me.

Every time I turn on the TV they have some story about this family that can’t buy a home because they can’t get a mortgage, yet 4 of my friends have all bought houses in the last year. None of them are “rich”, but they’re buying houses that are within their means and have clear credit records.

You’re right though, corporate lending is a whole other problem.

All you had to do was read the i dunno 30 words on the page :meh:

My plan is pretty simple.

Free Market Economy.

Revamp existing social works programs to educate people so there arent 1 million people out of factory jobs. Americas days of being an industrial power producing quality products at affordable prices are long gone.

Eliminate the hand out scenario keeping generations of people content to take whatever they can from the govt. and live a “free” non contributing existance. The stringent rules I would place on people down on their luck would make you want to work at McDonalds before you stood in line to get a big FAIL stamped on your paperwork.

Give tax breaks to credible businesses so they may grow bigger and better and employ more people.

I would certainly bolster the infrastructure of the country but a New New Deal is NOT the answer. It would be a small percentage of ways to generate jobs and revenue.

I would not bail out any company that cannot figure out how to maintain a profit margin. Common sense could have stopped what we are now facing 10 years ago. But everyone wants to get rich and worry about it later. If you are not smart enough to assess the risk of your investments and business practices, you shouldnt be in business and you certainly should not be helped out for being bad at what you do.

I would tell the Healthcare and insurance industries to get a clue. You will no longer be supported by the govt. if you price gouge. A 5 block ambulance ride does NOT cost 1700 dollars.

I would shoot Nancy Pelosi in the face.

I would tell people to stop hoping for a change and get of their asses and do something about it.

The Govt is not your savior…it is not your personal crutch, it is a means of governing the people and nothing more. It is there to set a standard of rules and policies to live by but it is no means your hero and fall back plan.

And if the bailout had to happen and someone said here is 8xx Billion dollars…what would you do with it? I would divide it based on income brackets to every person who got a W-2 in the past 5 years.

Nope, but let me clue you in. State employees don’t build roads/bridges/DOT projects. They maintain them, nice try though.

uh, noted? :uhh:

I was just pointing it out since thats what you were getting at by assuming I worked for the state. If the state actually did the work on these projects you would have a legitimate gripe since the cost of equipment alone would be astronomical. Instead it is sent out for bidding just like any other construction project. I know some of you like to think that unions are not needed, and are just added bloat tacked on to a given project but you guys really have no idea. Some of you like to think that we just get everything we want when it comes to raises and benifits but thats not true. I got a 2$ raise this year and am very happy about it, but we lost paid vacations in turn for this raise among other things. It’s a give and take relationship, just because the UAW is portrayed as only wanting to take, without giving anything in return does not mean all unions function this way.

People don’t want facts. They just want to be handed an analysis that supports their cause.

Here. I have given you facts. Do your own analysis.
