it only looks fast when the tires spin…
Sucks you have shitty friends. Keep at it, teach your self.
ive tuned the holley efi on a mustang. really nice user friendly setup.
I plan to go to the track this year, I don’t care who else goes, but then again I didn’t buy a car because everyone else has one.
Who says you need to have other people around to have fun!
No one makes love to myself, quite like, myself.
The nova is my first car, ive owned it almost 16 years now. I parked it the past 7 yrs or so cause I was pretty much over it. I only brought it back out cause I thought it was going to be this super fun awesome thing and certain people were going to bring their cars out to the track to race, and sort of hang out more and do car stuff. not really how it played out and I woudnt have bothered to bring it back out if I knew otherwise. I honestly stopped caring about cars years ago. I don’t even think I was on this forum once the entire time I parked it. I love my car and will never sell it. Was the first and only dude back in HS with an old heap doin burnouts. Def didn’t buy it cause anybody else was into it. but my motivation to spend time and money on it at this point is simply not there anymore if im doing it alone. I have too much other shit to spend my time and $ on than to sacrifice it into this hobby. I cant help that is doesnt interest me anymore to do solo. Maybe when im an old fart it will but it doesn’t now. I don’t want to nag the only guy who will help me when he is busy as hell to come work on a car when hes not into it, and im not sure I really am either. Ever try to squeeze a BBC with a th400 into a car by yourself? best of luck. you need help its that simple. Im sure some guys can do it but fuccccckkkk that. I probably should have just left it parked to be honest. But atleast I knocked the dust off it after sitting all those years and when I come back to it again itll be that much further along. Fuckin moser m9 out back ready for war, someday.
I feel like I’m in the same boat right now… ugh.
I guess I’m kinda like a fast car virgin lol, the fastest car I ever had was my 2000 Trans AM Ws6 with full exhaust. So I guess I’m still chasing the “I want a fast car gig”. Its a slow process for me as I only make so much money to dump into my new toy ('85 T-type). I was looking forward to seeing your car at the track, I mean you can race Cheap cooch, he loves the track and will be out on day one…to call people out too! Either way I understand how you feel and maybe you will want to be out once summer is here. Once the salt is off the road and it warms up a bit, I have a few maintenance items I need to take care off before I do any racing, but I plan to be at the track this year. Not that I will be fast but I hope to enjoy the car.
Guess Pat and I are chopped liver. Thanks, dick.
You know I wasn’t talking about that part foo, I’m talking about level of interest!
yea, my level of interest def was not the same. Got a little whacky with winter car talk and opened a can of worms. Once I started I had to see it through and get it back together. I knew when the motor went in, which took a few days to button up, that the awesome car wrenching beers in garage and track days were probably not going to happen. I spent a lot of time and money, incase I didn’t mention it already, and would rather have my money back at the very least and have put it to better use. It reminded me of a guy I bought a dirtbike off a couple years ago, said his buddies all said they were going to race. Well, he was the only one who bought one and sold it to me with about 5 trail ridden hours on it. I thought man, how shitty…I cant understand why his buddies didn’t get down with him after saying they would. Well, it happens and now I know better. I made the best of the yr, did a lot to the car even though it was semi-frustrating, hit the track a couple times, and am happier than a pig in shit that i didn’t spend 1 fucking penny on it since parking it last fall. theres plently left to do, for instance my converter is way too tight, but ya think im guna pull the motor and trans out myself and put it back in myself to make it right. hell no. so whats the point really…better off parking it AGAIN until the time is right. and if lack of help wasn’t reason enough, ppl who got me back into this shit are putting in their 2 cents and making childish comments about me/my car like we’re back in highschool, that’s reason enough to steer me away from all the “fun” of cars.
We all just need to do some wheelstands this year.
:tspry:
In for wheel stands
