The Rapid Move To All Electric (But Real Goal = No Personal Cars)

So GM no longer manages the preorder list for the hummer ev, theyve basically said screw it and the dealers can procure and award them as they see fit…

The entire dealer network thing with OEMs is so stupid. Look into the history on that and why OEM’s CAN’T legally sell direct to customers in most states.

ya im familiar, its complete bullshit. Couple other guys have confirmed, the whole gmc reservation thing is bua scam at this point. imagine if tesla did that…what the blowback would be.

Has anyone actually seen a new Hummer in the flesh?

yea, west herr ea had one I checked out, never saw one in the wild though. I have already seen two cybertrucks though.

Yeah one lined up next to me while in the Viper last summer. I revved thinking he would take the bait but he didn’t. He would have blown my doors off.

uness theyre in wtf mode theyre not super quick

I’m not sure why you wouldn’t drive in wtf mode constantly. Ev’s are only quick down low, most fall on their face over say 75mph.

That would be my plan.

Might have learned a little more about the issue, one theory is that if you preordered you get a $6250 discount, so dealers are circumventing the preorder list so that they can sell at MSRP or better.

If the speaker that produces engine noises stops/breaks and the car hits someone jay walking can the jay walker sue the driver?

Looks like Toyota may have been the only “adult in the room” on this.

“Toyota is almost completely absent from the [battery electric vehicle] market yet will gain more U.S. market share than any other car company this year. Let that sink in,”

@bing has been taking about this for a while

Even without the drop in value of the cars it bought, Hertz struggled with collision and damage repairs on an EV running about twice that associated with a comparable combustion engine vehicle, Scherr told investors on a 2023 call.
