The SLAMMED thread!

Just saying that the clip does the same thing as the zip ties, except cleaner looking and easier to clip/unclip.

So wouldn’t you want to have to clips and no zip ties so you could easily put the bumper back on just as you pull it off?

no hood because ECOTEC POWAH!

but then how could everyone know that you have such an easily removable front bumper!!! i deff prefer zip ties over anything else.

Don’t people use zipties because when they hit something, the zip tie will break and not their bumper?

that’s the theory.

zipties when done right can be easily replaced without getting under the car or behind the panel. I’m not so sure about the zip tie placement he did though.

cracks in bumpers are like scars, chicks dig scars

I was just busting balls. Bags have one purpose static is another. If your driving your car for an intended purpose like Steve drives his bags are beyond stupid. If you drive your car everyday like I do with mine I think a good ride and being able to enter my shop and my driveway on air is right for me. Some think bags serve no purpose but as a shop getting into airride on numerous projects including a wheelchair accessible van, bags can be very useful.

So are curbed rims, but sad to say even I cant twist some convoluted hypothetical story into how air ride would have saved you from curbing you wheels. :rofl

+rep

Hang on, so I can add to the list for “what it takes to be cool on static suspension”?

  • Trunk full of 2x4’s
  • Hookerboot buckles for “easy” front bumper removal

:rofl

“I will meet you all inside guys, I have to unbuckle my front bumper so I can pull into the parking lot, save me a seat!”

:rofl:rofl:rofl

theres my frame. i cant roll a soda can under my truck on low pro 16s.

I cant even open the door some times. Almost tucking wheel bearing. :rofl Even air’d up its lower than most static dropped trucks.

Bags are cool for show. ive seen dakotas tucking lugs on 22s
mines static i wouldnt go any lower static that that

what frame work is done to it? it looks good tho man

Its not only show. People dont seem to understand that the bag is only a spring, used to set suspension pre-load. Its been proven that a air-ride car along side a SINGLE RATE coil car (with the same shock settings) were identical in performance.

here is a shitty example, but an example none the less:

Thanks man. My little jab above was just busing balls, no real harm was ment btw.

Everything from the front crossmember back we custom made. All the suspension too. I dont want to clutter this up any more for Eliot here… so if you want more info check out the build thread: http://shift518.com/showthread.php?t=17144

its cool man no worries, ive jyst never seen bag setups for performace i know theres potental with the fourlink and everything ive just never really seen but i dont have much experiance with bags.

Sorta on topic. :rofl

Bikes can get low too.

Come spring time, swing by my shop and Ill give ya a ride in some air cars and trucks. Keep in mind there is nothing stopping someone from rolling around 24/7 on the road at like 40psi with the frame a cunt hair off the ground, like the static boys. But unlike them, ride (as long as it doesnt bottom out ofcourse) is BETTER at lower psi. My brothers A4 lays the downpipe on the ground under the car, and at any ride height above that, driving around it rides BETTER than stock. Its night and day air vs static at the same ride-heights.
